This is a brand new instrument which is shipped direct. It has been hand crafted of beautiful woods with the  soundboard of spruce, the sides, scroll and fretboard of rosewood, and the back is laminated mahoghany.   This contemporary designed instrument has 4 strings and an hour-glass shape with heart shaped cutouts in the soundboard.  There are 18 frets including the 6.5 fret for the current popular modern tuning. The chrome tuning pegs are easy to operate for accurate tunings. It comes with it's own soft case plus a noter and pick. The instrument has the folk-like resonance so characteristic of the mountain dulcimer.
